Before: An couple with a love for travel wanted to utilize the unfinished attic space in their home.
After: The attic is transformed into a proper owners suite with walk-in closet, and bold 5-piece bathroom.
Highlights:
- A welcoming light-filled sitting area greets you at the top of the stairs.
- A larger walk-in closet now supplies all the wardrobe storage this couple needs.
- Shorter closets were built into the angled ceiling planes of the bedroom to maximize seasonal storage.
- A new ensuite bath adds value to the home while eliminating trips to the main floor bathroom.
- Dual shower heads and vanity sinks allow the couple to get ready for work simultaneously.
- The freestanding soaking tub is a relaxing retreat on cold, winter nights.
- Spanish-inspired tiles were used around the shower niche to pay homage to the couple’s trip to Spain.
- Champagne gold fixtures were used to add sophisticated charm and provide a beautiful contrast to the blue tile and cabinetry.
