Some common questions asked about positions within Hanson Design Build Remodel.
Do I need remodeling experience specifically, or is new-construction experience fine?
While remodeling experience is a plus, it’s not the only thing we look for. If you bring the right skills, mindset, and willingness to learn, there may be a place for you at Hanson.
Do you hire apprentices or people new to the trade?
We don’t currently offer formal apprenticeships, but we do welcome people who are new to the remodeling industry. If you’re motivated to learn, willing to work hard, and excited to build your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Are these union positions?
No. Hanson Design Build Remodel does offer Union employment.
What's the service area — how far will I travel?
We strive to keep our jobs within a 30-minute radius from our office.
Do you provide tools?
Carpenters are expected to have their own core tools and continue building their tool inventory as they grow in their role. Hanson provides access to larger carpentry equipment in our workshop, along with a collection of smaller tools, and our tool reimbursement program helps offset the cost of building your personal toolkit.
Is the work year-round?
Yes, Hanson Design Build Remodel offers year-round work.
