“Hanson Remodeling was very good at creating the space we wanted by carefully listening to our wants, needs, and expectations.

Hanson Remodeling Design Build was formed by Dan Hanson in 2008. His intrigue into the craft of home building and remodeling began early with family tours of architectural homes. After interning with a manufacturing company prior to his senior year in college, Dan passed on a management position offer and graduated from Luther College with degrees in Business Management and Philosophy.  He set out to Colorado to explore his intrigue of building. He knew that he did not want to wake up in middle management in his 30’s wondering if he should have pursued carpentry. He earned a position as a finish carpentry apprentice and was hooked. He moved to the Twin Cities after traveling in Canada and South America to live in an urban setting and enjoy the profession of remodeling.

Rebecca brings 10 years of design experience with her and hails from the Twin Cities South Metro. She earned her B.S. in interior design from the University of Minnesota. She has been transforming spaces for her clients for over ten years and still can’t get enough of the distinctive challenges that every project brings. With a careful eye towards design and functionality, she takes the time to truly listen to what each individual client wants and needs from their home. She then assembles those pieces of the puzzle to create uniquely tailored spaces that will be enjoyed for years to come. Rebecca has practiced design work both here and in the Denver area. Though she and her husband thoroughly enjoy traveling, they are excited to have their home base back in Minnesota.

Karla Baker
Designer

Karla hails from St. Paul, Minnesota and holds degrees in both Interior Design and Theatre Performance. Each individual and family uses their home in a unique way and their spaces should reflect their personal style and needs. Karla takes the time to truly listen to her clients and asks thorough questions to make sure no stone is left unturned. (She may even ask to look in your cabinetry and closets to adequately assess your storage needs.) She has a passion for historic architecture – especially houses that reflect the Victorian, Arts-and-Crafts, and Tudor Revival movements. She believes that spaces must be both functional and beautiful and loves paying attention to the little details that make her clients fall in love with their design. Karla is very dedicated to her nieces and nephews and loves spending as much time with them as possible. When she is not acting as a human jungle gym or attending a T-ball game, she enjoys writing, hiking, live music, sporting events, hanging out with friends and family, and participating in anything that will make her laugh.
